Silent Witness

If I came to you and said I wanted to spend a week with you, observe your life and at the end write your story, what would you say. I would be writing about what you loved most in your life, what your character was like and who you were. I would describe you and what you stood for. I would write the story of who you are.

Just one catch.....

You couldn't say a word to me. You couldn't tell me you story, instead, it would be written only by what I observed.

Who would you be? Would my story reflect who you are?

What we spend our time on is what we love in our heart. Or it should be. Do your actions reflect your heart?

Hmmmmm........... Much to ponder.

Great post!!!!!!! If only we could all stop and think about this. We don't have to say a word, our actions speak for us. Thanks for sharing another great post!!!!!

Very True! I know that I am constantly working on Christ-likeness and try and remind myself that I can't do it in my own strength, but by the Holy Spirti living inside me who will shape me into what God desires of me. Hugs, Robin

Fantastic post. I'd have to be honest and say in my house you'd see someone failing constantly but also trying constantly.

Truly a thought provoking blog. The old adage, "be patient, God isn't finished with me yet", would definitely apply in my case. I strive daily to increase my walk with Him and I pray that is what would show. A good time though to reflect on our lives and see what our story tells. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing. Sorry I haven't been around much, I will be back more when we finally get moved and settled. God bless you. T

Thought provoking indeed.

I'd be fine with you watching me when I have my 'pastor' face on but at home.....

Guess I need to work on that!

Thanks everyone. I hope you didn't think this was condemning. It was meant only to make you think. It certainly made me think about my own actions. What it reminded me of was that the silent witness, writing my story is God himself. He is always quietly watching. I had to ask myself what is He seeing... I am so thankful for grace and mercy!

Hugs,
Sherri
